Where it all began

At a young age, I would find myself endlessly involved in creative activities. from writing plays, designing gardens, to making artistic accessories and even styling shop windows any reason to be involved in a creative activity and I was always first in the queue.    Little did I know that these hobbies I loved as a child would help me learn and develop the skills I would use towards my profession in the years to come.

My love of gardening, research and history also began at a very young age during family holidays in Scotland, visiting historical places and gardens (I always had a fascination for ancient buildings, especially castles) imagining the people who had lived there and their stories, it was always about the stories.

My path to Photography and Styling evolved and although it wasn’t the initial direction I took in my career path I was able to utilise these skills in all my roles.

Managing a University Site included organising events, marketing, planning and project management and as a student adviser, listening skills.

Inevitably I was eventually drawn back to being able to form a full-time career in  Photography & Styling, thankful for the knowledge I had gained in my previous roles and the advantages it would bring to me and my clients in my business.

Styling along with my love of photography has always been part of my world and is complemented by my organisational, planning and listening skills.

I have always had a passion for creating beautiful compositions.  Simple and elegant styling aesthetically defined by an acute attention to detail that is aptly suited to my specialties in interiors, environment, still life, flat lay, brand product and lifestyle.   Creating entire environments or elements of a scene, reflecting the visual narrative to captivate your audience, remembering how inspired and captivated I was as a child by stories, drives me to ensure styled images I create and capture also captivate and inspire.
